Current regulations and laws have allowed an ever increasing number of lethal events in various retail outlets (gun stores, department stores, pawn shops, firing ranges that rent firearms). These events include suicides, robberies, the murder of store employees and other innocent bystanders.

Currently, only a handful of national and regional retail outlets utilize firearm restraints on firearms in the stores, and typically only after they have experienced a lethal or near lethal event in their store. It is time for change. It is time to strengthen the policies and regulations regarding how firearms can be handled in retail outlets. We ask for improved safety in the way of firearms handled and demonstrated in the stores. It is Common Sense.
