Currently, legal loopholes and lack of regulations involving firearm retailers, Pawn shops, and shooting ranges that rent firearms allow felons and mentally ill individuals easy access to firearms. By simply asking to look at and handle a firearm, they may load it with their own ammunition and turn the situation lethal within seconds.

With no intention of narrowing the scope or intent of the 2nd Amendment, we advocate the disabling of firearms in the retail locations that sell them so they cannot be fired in the store.

We have expanded our focus to also address "Common Sense" upgrades to our existing gun laws and still stay within the "scope and intent" of the 2nd Amendment. Check out our "10 Common Sense Steps" to upgrades to existing gun laws on Facebook. It's a specific detailed approach to true upgrades to our laws, not emotional knee jerk approaches that will not last through the next administration term. Its a complex issue that goes far beyond just guns. Participate in the dicussions on Facebook: Common Sense on Guns.
